Hailey Jo

Hailey Jo was born on Sept. 24 2008 at 1:12pm. Hailey Jo weighed 8 lbs 1 oz and 19 3/4 long. We were very suprized didn't think she was that big. It was a scarey beginning. We arrived at the hospital at 5:45am. The nurse took us into the OB Suite. The first I.V. attempt was unsuccessfull. The nurse then tried to start the I.V. in Annies right arm this time. The needle missed the vein, so the nurse was moving the needle around trying to catch the vein so that she didn't have to poke Annie agin. While doing this, Annie had a syncopal episode(passed out, blacked out) I thought that she was having a seizure. Annie finally woke up and was looking at us wondering why the nurse was slapping her in the face. The Dr. made it to the hospital in under four minutes (from his house) He ruled out that it was not a seizure. He said that it was the same as when she passed out and ran into subway when she was pregnant with Trevor. Anyway, Doctor broke her bag of water at 8:00 and Pit was added into Annie's I.V. at 8:10am. About 10:00am, Annie began to have some strong contractions. At 11:00 Annie was 6 to 7 cm dialated and then was checked at 12:00 and she was 8 to 9. At five minutes to one,she was complete, the doctor was called and seventeen minutes later, FOUR GOOD HARD PUSHES and Hailey was born.

Karlee is so excited about having a baby sister and wants to hold her all of the time. She does a great job and will be able to help Annie (A LITTLE!) When Trevor was asked if he liked Hailey, he said "Yep". Then I asked him if we should take her home he said, "....No, just put her back"
