Trevor broke out in a rash on is face on Saturday. I thought is was a allergic reaction from the sunscreen. But that night after baths it wasn't any better. Sunday night in was on his cheeks and arms. Monday it was just on his arms. I couldn't get him in to the doctor office yesterday but I got in this morning. The doctor said he has fifth disease. It starts out as runny nose and sore throat. Then a bright red or rosy rash on both cheeks for 1 to 3 days. Then the rash goes to the arms and legs more like a lace like rash. This rash comes and goes for 1-3 weeks. There is no treatment for the rash. If I get the rash it is not a good thing. They are running a blood test to see if I had it when I was little. Usually you only get it once like chicken pox. If I haven't had the disease I will have to be monitored closely. They said probably a couple extra ultrasounds too. The doctor said that babies develop complications if they are infected with fifth disease before birth. 10% develop anemia. So hope I have had this when I was little or I don't get it at all. Adults who get fifth disease develop just a mild pinkness of the cheeks or no rash at all. Adults develop joint pains in the knees more often than the rash. These pain may last for 1-3 months.
The rash doesn't look to bad now but it gets worse after warm baths, exercise and sun exposure. Keeping Trevor out of the sun is impossible. I tried to get a picture of him arms but he would set still long enough.

I've heard of 5ths Disease. Luckily it's not too serious very often. Unless you get it- keep away from your kids (in other words, you go lay down on your bed with the door shut and relax and make Joel take care of them! :) )
I completely agree. Take it easy for a minute. This pregnancy has been a rough one for sure!
If it was that easy. With him working from 6:45am to usually 6:30 or even 7 at night. Someone has to do the house work and be the mother during the day. I finlly get to rest at 8 or 8:30pm after kitchen has been cleaned and things picked up around the house.
Make JOEL clean up the kitchen and pick up around the house! He has two legs! And you are pregnant! He can certainly clean the kitchen, for crying out loud!
He is usually giving the kids a bath and getting them ready for bed. I have a hard time bending over to wash there hair and body. He did clean the living room last night ad even vacuumed. There is always something to do when you have two kids. Can't imagine what it is going to be like with three.
