November all ready

October is always a very busy month for us. Or we have to many thinks planned. So know it is November and now we have to think about Thanksgiving. Only 20 days until turkey day. Then we have to get started on Christmas. I think there is only 52 days until Christmas. Joel and I decided this year that we are only going to give our kids three presents. I know it is Christmas but you know they don't need anything. Karlee has so many clothes I can't get her dresses closed. They both have to many toys and half of them they don't even play with. Their toy box is overflowing and the down stairs play room has toys everywhere. So, they are going to get a new mattress's for their beds, something that has to do with learning and a movie each and that is all. So, times I wish we could just give and not receive at Christmas. I even think Joel and I are only going to give each other a few presents and then fill each others stocking. The gifts get a little out of hand and we forget the whole reason for Christmas.

On my Dad's side of the family we do a five dallor white elephant gift exchange and only the kids from like age five down draw names. And on my Mom's side we do the same thing but it has to come right out if your yard sale box of junk box. We have done this for a couple of years now and that has been really fun. From my Dad we each get one present. With my sisters and brother-in-laws we exchange names the boys draw with the boys and the sisters with sisters. And the grandkids draw names.

Anyway enough about gift giving and families. Joel and I got his elk all ground and cut up this week. I think we got about 15 pounds of steaks and 75 to 80 pounds of hamburger. We lost a lot of meat because of were Joel shot. Right in the hind end were all the meats was. I think we lost about 10 pounds of meat. But good think is our freezer is full. I don't think we could even fit a couple frozen pizzas in there now. Yeah!!

Joel doesn't have to work tomarrow. I was going to have a Mary Kay party but decided to do a book party instead. So, we are going to work on some of the projects that we have started around the house that need finished. Well, I guess I better get going and get some things done before I have to go get Karlee from preschool.

Is there anything you want us to look for for Trevor for Christmas? We already have a really cool camo sweatshirt for Trevor's birthday, and a pony that you can color on with markers and then wash in the washing machine and start over again for Karlee for Christmas but nothing for Trevor yet. If there's anything he needs, let me know. I'm going to Casper this afternoon if you get this on time, otherwise I'll be in Laramie next week too.
