Laughing Gas

Karlee went to her first dentist appointment on June 4th. Dr. Howard said that she has two cavities and one of them might even need a root canal done. I have never heard of a 4 year old having a root canal done. I never heard Karlee complain at all that her teeth have been hurting. Dr. Howard referred us to Dr Jay Cole in Cheyenne. He is a pediatrics dentist. My niece Adelle goes to this dentist and Sara said he is really good.

So, today I took the kids to Cheyenne. Karlee's appointment was at 11:30. We got there at 11:00. The place was very welcoming. They had a fish tank which every dentist has a fish tank. They had a play room for the kids. So Karlee played while I filled out papers. She had to have more x-rays done too. After she got her x-rays taken the lady gave Karlee a couple tokens. She said that there was four vending machines. So, she got a pink duck. The the dentist saw her. Dr. Jay Cole said that her teeth with the cavities aren't that bad and we could fix those by just filling them. He said that he had the time to fill them today. So instead to having to come back another day I had him fill the cavities today. They gave Karlee some laughing gas and he said if that doesn't work they would have to give her the shots. But, the laughing gas worked. She did great. There was only one time she got scared. I think it was because they had about 4 tools in her little mouth at once and it was hurting her. But other then that she did great. I was so proud of her. Then she got 4 more tokens for the vending machines. After the dentist we went to go get Aunt Beth (she lives in Cheyenne) and Trevor. Beth watched Trevor for me. We went out to eat. Karlee was being very silly at lunch because of the laughing gas. But in wore off in about an hour. We took Beth home and the kids and I went to Target. I told Karlee that she could pick out a new movie for doing so good getting her teeth fixed. She picked out The Fox and the Hound 2. We took the lap top with us on the way to Cheyenne so she watched her new movie on the way home while Trevor slept. So, I'm glad that is over. I thought we would have to make a few trips the Cheyenne to the dentist but I guess not.

Yesterday we went to my Grandma's and Grandpa's house to see my Uncle Jeff and Aunt Marna. They have three kids. Meghan, Ethan and Evan. Karlee rode around in a big corn truck with Uncle Jeff and Uncle Russ to pick up big square bails. It has been two years since they have been here. So they has not see Trevor at all. We, are going to have a family picnic on Friday night in Lingle at the park. Well better go. Tomorrow is the last day of VBS.
